In September, INMA awarded 30 young professionals around the world with its fifth “30 Under 30” award as part of its Young Professionals Initiative. This is the 25th in a series of 30 features about the impressive rising media stars who are shaping our industry.

As the product owner for Live Center, the leading live coverage tool in the media industry, Mathilde Svinø has made her name known within the news media industry.
Mathilde has been instrumental in developing live blogging tools aimed at engaging younger readers and creating new features that enhance user experience, and these tools are used by Norkon’s 70+ professional media customers — most of whom are INMA members.
Before becoming the Live Center product owner at Norkon, Mathilde managed the customer success team, where she personally met with all key media accounts to support their business needs.
This role allowed her to build a vast network within the media industry and gain deep insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by media organisations. Her ability to solve complex problems for media customers and provide valuable feedback to the development team has been crucial in creating products that meet the evolving needs of the industry.
Mathilde’s dedication to customer engagement and attention to detail ensures that Live Center’s products continue to evolve with every sprint session. She has presented Norkon and Live Center at various events and to customers since joining the company, showcasing her commitment to promoting the brand and its innovative solutions.
Most recently, Mathilde spearheaded a major redesign of Live Center. She conducted interviews with key accounts, including journalists, editors, and publishers, to gather insights and create a comprehensive business case and detailed analysis of new features. Mathilde led the release plans and coordinated the teams involved in creating this new experience.
Mathilde’s combination of people skills and technical knowledge, along with her engagement with customers and curiosity to learn new fields, makes her a standout candidate for future leadership in the media industry. Her role in arranging social events, technical workshops, and promoting company culture at Norkon further highlights her commitment to fostering a thriving startup environment.
